As scalp micropigmentation has grown in popularity, so has the number of inexperienced technicians offering the treatment. We have seen the results of poor or completely incorrect SMP technique in many of these cases over the recent years. Many clients require laser removal to create a ‘clean’ enough scalp to effect a natural result with the correct technique.

How Does It Work?
Assessment of a badly performed treatment is the first step to finding out what your options are. In most cases one or two sessions of laser removal are recommended to break down and soften the existing pigment. After a recovery period of at least 3 months SMP can be reapplied with the correct technique.
In some cases a treatment which has not been applied uniformly and is not too dark overall or in parts the treatment may be able to be added to and corrected. In some cases discriminant dark dots or spots can be softened as part of this SMP correction approach.
